A croquembouche originates from the early 1800s. It used to be the wedding cake of choice for Parisian royals and high society. Originally they were created with glazed profiteroles piled high in a conical structure. The direct translation is in fact "crunch in the mouth.” Check out our article on croquembouche facts for more facts!
Our croquembouches are much more than a crunch in the mouth. They're made of glazed filled choux buns and eclairs, baked buttermilk doughnuts, macarons, candied popcorn, ice-cream cones, Ferrero Rochers, piped buttercream flowers, and real sponge cake layers frosted with Swiss meringue buttercream and glazed in Belgian chocolate. With our croquembouches you get all the main dessert food groups amassed into one joyous feast for the eyes and mouth. You will never have anything like it anywhere.
Our croquembouches are a unique choice for a wedding cake or an extremely extravagant celebration cake. No longer do you have to have a cake and a dessert table as our glorious croquembouches tick all the boxes. It makes a dramatic statement on its own or takes pride of place amongst a stylish dessert buffet.
Each croquembouche is handmade from scratch in our bakery based in London. No two will ever be the same and you can even personalise it with a unique message. There's a lot of work that goes into creating each one so we recommend giving us as much notice as possible.
